There are basic laws and principles that control our mental world just as there are basic laws and principles that control our physical world. One of the physical laws that control our physical world is the Law of Gravity. As you know the force of gravity works 100 percent of the time and is not dependent on whether you are aware of the existence of the law or not. The law in itself is neutral; meaning that it is consistent and continually occurs correctly. Although many of us have experienced a negative money glitch during this financial crisis, the law of gravity is ongoing and recurrent.
Mental laws occur 100 percent of the time as well. Deepak Chopra a spiritual leader, physician, and author defines mental laws as being, “the process of which the unmanifest becomes manifest, or the avenue through which the dreamer manifests the dream.” If you never explored the idea of mental laws that generate positive or negative outcomes, I encourage that you learn more about this process. Generally there is believed to be 7 mental laws that influence your success. These 7 laws commonly have the same meaning however; the terminology may differ from author to author. The 7 laws listed in Dr. Dennis P, Kimbro’s book What Makes the Great, Great are:
o Law of Practice Law of Mental Equivalency
o Law of Control Law of Expectation
o Law of Reciprocity Law of Forgiveness
o Law of Habit
While all play an important part in how you see our world and the type of success one might or might not attain; I am choosing to focus only on the Laws of Habit for this article. We are all creatures of habit, and those habits virtually control everything that we do. Hence, demonstrates the importance of ensuring that your negative money glitch does not become habit forming during this economic recession. If you were used to “viewing the glass half full” prior to this year then chances are that you have a positive outlook for surviving this recession and regaining all that you have lost.
Take a look at what you are saying concerning your present money glitch situation. If your talk, walk, and thoughts are self-defeating to the success you desire in the future then you must change the habits that are no longer consistent with your objectives. Generally it has been said that it takes only 30 days to change a habit or create a new habit. So begin by choosing positive words to replace the negative words you have been using. Read, read, and listen to positive material that will in turn generate positive thoughts. Seek mentors that mimic the person you want to become. And remember a money glitch technically is neutral in that it can be either negative or positive. So form great habits and continue to move forward through this financial crisis into your bliss. Here’s a great poem for generating thought:
I am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden. I will push you onward or drag you down to failure. I am completely at your command. Half the things you do you might just as well turn over to me and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly. I am easily managed—you must merely be firm with me. Show me exactly how you want something done and after a few lessons I will do it automatically. I am the servant of all great men; and alas, of all failures, as well. Those who are great, I have made great. Those who are failures, I have made failures. I am not a machine, though I work with all the precision of a machine plus the intelligence of a man. You may run me for profit or run me for ruin—it makes no difference to me. Take me, train me, be firm with me, and I will place the world at your feet. Be easy with me and I will destroy you. Who am I? I am habit! –by Anonymous
